El Super Pan, the Latin American restaurant from chef Hector Santiago, has temporarily closed its location in Ponce City Market for kitchen renovations. The restaurant's tentative reopening date is March 31. El Super Pan's second location at the Battery Atlanta continues to operate as usual. Interested diners can follow the restaurant on Instagram (@elsuperpan_pcm) or check its website for updates.

El Super Pan is known for its inventive Puerto Rican food and "secret" mofongo, the off-menu dish that Santiago serves at both of the restaurant's locations. The sandwich shop is one of the original Ponce City Market restaurants and has operated in the central food hall since it opened in 2015.

The renovation of El Super Pan's kitchen isn't the only change at Ponce City Market this spring; the mixed-use property is expanding its dining hall, converting office space into another restaurant and kiosk, though the details of the new restaurant have not been announced.
