Alpharetta, get ready to get chaat-y.
Popular Indian street food eatery Botiwalla is set to open a second location in new mixed-use development Alpharetta City Center later this year.
The fast casual concept serves up items including grilled meats, paneer, kababs, naan, chaat (small plates) and salads.
On the beverage side, Botiwalla offers handmade sodas, boozy slushies, Indian-inspired cocktails and Indian and local beers.
“We want to blur the line between indoor and outdoor, as any true street food eatery would, and we are really excited about the other tenants in City Center and the mix of local, independent, brands, along with some larger curated brands,” chef and owner Meherwan Irani said in a press release. Irani also owns Chai Pani locations in Decatur and Asheville and several other Asheville ventures.
In addition to food and drink, Botiwalla will sell merchandise and spice blends from Irani’s spice concept,Spicewalla and “fun Indian oddities and discoveries.”
The restaurant area, known as The Gardens , features individual buildings scattered through three city blocks of parks and greenspace. Its 11 restaurants, all with outdoor dining patios, porches, rooftop or gardens, will open from June 2018 through March 2019.
