I sat down with Hawks President of Basketball Operations and head coach Mike Budenholzer today in advance of training camp. I will be posting excerpts of the lengthy interview over the next couple of days ahead of media day on Monday. I will also have a Q&A in the Sunday print edition of The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. Look for that.

One of my questions was regarding the starting lineup. We know that Dennis Schroder and Dwight Howard are in. There has been speculation that Kent Bazemore could move over to shooting guard from small forward.

Here is the portion of the interview regarding the starting unit.

Q. Other than Dennis Schroder starting for Jeff Teague and Dwight Howard starting for Al Horford, can I expect any other changes to the starting lineup with Kyle Korver at the 2, Kent Bazemore at the 3 and Paul Millsap at the 4?

A. I think it's hard to see not going into camp that way but it's a little bit of how can we figure out the best way to manage a game and the best way to manage a season. It's hard for me not to see that. Again, I see them (Korver and Bazemore) more as wings and not 2's and 3's. I'm excited to see how we fit together and what works well with Dennis now starting and the addition of Dwight.

So, it looks like you can expect - at least going into training camp - a starting unit of Schroder, Korver, Bazemore, Millsap and Howard.

What do you think?

* Also, thanks to reader Valter who expressed concern that the previous blog was posted way too long with a picture of Al Horford.
