FLOWERY BRANCH — Here are the five things we learned on Wednesday about the Falcons (6-3), who host the Indianapolis Colts (4-5) at 1 p.m. Sunday at the Georgia Dome.

1. FALCONS PRACTICING MORE TEMPO: The Falcons have been working on their tempo package with hopes of dragging the offense out of its slump.
2. BEASLEY MOVED TO LEFT SIDE: Falcons rookie Vic Beasley, who battled left tackles for most of the season, will get more time of the left side of the defense and get a chance to face some right tackles. The Falcons are trying to bolster their pass rush.
3. PAGANO'S PRAISE: Colts coach Chuck Pagano clearly believes he's facing the '78 Steelers. He spoke very highly of the Falcons on our conference call.
4. ROCKY'S BACK: Falcons cornerback Robert Alford, who suffered a groin injury against Tampa Bay and missed the San Francisco game, returned to practice on Wednesday. Full injury report.
