FLOWERY BRANCH — Here's what we learned today about the Falcons (5-1), who play the Tennessee Titans (1-4) at 1 p.m. Sunday at Nissan Stadium in Nashville, this morning.
- Quinn studied the pass rush. Falcons coach Dan Quinn studied the pass rush over the mini-bye. The players feel they have to turn things up a notch, respect the integrity of the pass rush lanes and be better coordinated. The team's pass-rushing efficiency is down from last season's lows. - Julio Jones well-rested. Wide receiver Julio Jones was back at practice on Monday.
- Jarrett is up. Quinn has been impressed with the play of Grady Jarrett and he's up for more snaps on defense.
- Hometown huddle. Several players were talking about participating in the team's big community event on Tuesday.
- Mariota hurt. Tennessee quarterback Marcus Mariota suffered a sprained MCL and his status for Sunday is unclear. The Falcons may get to face former Georgia and LSU quarterback Zach Mettenberger.
