The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's D. Orlando Ledbetter and CineSport’s Noah Coslov preview Thursday night’s Falcons-Saints game by talking about injuries, the rivalry, the rallies and defending Drew Brees.

FLOWERY BRANCH — Here's everything you need to know about the Falcons (5-0), who play the New Orleans Saints (1-4) at 8:25 p.m. Thursday at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, this morning.

  1. Big travel day. The Falcons will have some morning activities before leaving for New Orleans in the afternoon.
  2. Run defense is No. 1. The Falcons have gone from 21st to first in run defense. Last season, the Falcons gave up 118.4 yards rushing per game, which was ranked 21st in the league. The Falcons are giving up 78.4 rushing yards per game, which ranks No.1 in the league.
  3. Ouch. Saints quarterback Drew Brees has been sacked 15 times. The Falcons have just six sacks, which ranks 29th in the league tied with the Texans and Colts.
  4. Silent count. Center James Stone said the Falcons will be ready to use the silent snap count if things get too loud and rowdy at the Superdome.
  5. The 60 percent rule. Wide receiver Julio Jones and running back Devonta Freeman have combined for 1,190 total yards, which is 58.5 percent of the Falcons' total offense.
