FLOWERY BRANCH -- Here are five quick takes from Tuesday's practice.

The Falcons (2-0) are set to face the Miami Dolphins (1-1) at 8 p.m. on Thursday in Orlando.

1. Walk-through. The Falcons concentrated on the red zone work during their walk-through practice that lasted for 1 hour, 4 minutes.

2. Ward, Ishmael out. Falcons coach Dan Quinn declared running back Terron Ward (ankle) and strong safety Kemal Ishmael (shoulder) out for the Miami game.

3. Schaub sharp. Falcons quarterback Matt Schaub continued to look sharp in practice. He tossed a dart out to wide receiver Aldrick Robinson for a long-gainer.

4. Collins continues. Falcons cornerback Jalen Collins, who had two interceptions on Tuesday, grabbed another one.

5. Goodwin developing. Falcons secondary/senior defensive assistant coach Marquand Manuel spent some time off to the side working with cornerback C.J. Goodwin on his press coverage at the line of scrimmage.  Goodwin, a converted wide receiver, is learning the nuances of his new position.
