FLOWERY BRANCH – The Falcons are being projected to rebound in a big way in 2015 by winning the NFC South and reaching the playoffs.
Not really sure how this rating system works because it's kind of complicated coming for the brainiacs at the Harvard Sports Analysis Collaborative in a blog titled, "A Way-Too-Early Prediction of the NFL Season."
The Harvard College Sports Analysis Collective (HSAC) is a student-run organization at Harvard College dedicated to the quantitative analysis of sports strategy and management. Founded in 2006, the club meets weekly and is for students interested in sports statistics, sports business, and problem solving.
Society really doesn’t need the Harvard kids delving into sports. We’re counting on them to solve some of the more complex global problems like the deployment of nuclear bombs in Iran and stuff.
I got a head ache trying to figure it out this formula.
But it looks like they have the Falcons picked to win the NFC South and to go to the playoffs, despite being ranked as the 18th best team overall. The Falcons have a 51 percent chance of making the playoffs.
The Saints (42 percent), Panthers (19 percent) and the Buccaneers (3 percent).
CBSSports gave their analysis of this report and FoxSports , too.
Green Bay and Seattle are the top teams in the NFC and are projected for a rematch of last season’s thrilling NFC championship games.
