FLOWERY BRANCH -- Thanks to the NFL's flex scheduling, Falcons fans will have more time to tailgate before the team faces the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.
The game -- the NFC South championship tilt -- has been moved from a 1 p.m. start to a 4:25 p.m. start. It will now be shown on CBS.
The Week 17 Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers game on Sunday, December 28 will be played at 8:30 p.m, on NBC, the Detroit Lions at Green Bay Packers game goes to 4:25 p.m. on FOX and the Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans to 1:00 p.m. on FOX, the NFL announced Monday night.
Most markets will see four Sunday afternoon games (two on CBS and two on FOX) plus the NBC Sunday night game with the NFL’s Week 17 double doubleheader schedule, which was introduced in 2006.
Following is the final Week 17 NFL schedule:
SUNDAY, DECEMBER 28 (WEEK 17)

The NFL uses “flexible scheduling” to ensure quality matchups in all NFL Sunday time slots and to give teams a chance to play their way onto primetime and into the late-afternoon 4:25 PM ET time slot on CBS or FOX.
For the first time this season, a select number of games are being “cross-flexed,” moving between CBS and FOX to bring potentially under-distributed games to wider audiences.
