FSU linebacker Telvin Smith at Falcons today

Florida State linebacker Telvin Smith, who played at Lowndes High, is visiting the Atlanta Falcons today.

Smith, 6-foot-3, 218 pounds, helped the Seminoles win the national championship. He was the team’s leading tackler with 90.

He ran the 40-yard dash in 4.54 seconds at the combine,

He chose Florida State over LSU and Georgia. He played on special teams as a freshman in 2010.

Also, the Falcons will hold their locals day on Tuesday.

Portland State running back D.J. Adams (Norcross High) and Tennessee-Chattanooga cornerback Kadeem Wise (Berkmar High)  are slated to participate.
