FLOWERY BRANCH -- The Falcons are completing their final preparations for the NFL draft, which will be held April 30 through May 2 in Chicago.
The team has dispatched some personnel men to workout Clemson defensive end/outside linebacker Vic Beasley today.
The Atlanta Journal-Constitution's Michael Cunningham was at Clemson's Pro Day on March 5 and chatted with Vic Beasley, of Adairsville, after he completed the linebacker drills.
Beasley weighed in at 246 pounds and wanted to show teams that he could drop into coverage and rush the passer as a linebacker.

The Falcons, who are waiting to hear from the league on their crowd noise case, currently hold the eighth pick in the draft.
The native of Adairsville didn’t hesitate when asked his preferred destination when teams draft beginning April 30.
“I grew up a Falcons fan,” he said. “I would love to play for the Falcons. But wherever I go I’m going to honor that team and give my best effort.”
The stars seem aligned for Beasley to end up playing for his favorite team.
The Falcons have a new coach, Dan Quinn, who values pass rushers and the team is in desperate need of players who can fire off the edge and get to the quarterback. Beasley, Clemson’s all-time sacks leader, is among the best pass rushers in the draft.
