Q: What was it like growing up around the New York Giants? (His father, Brian Williams, played for the Giants from 1989-1999.)

A: It was a great experience having my dad play in the NFL and growing up around that kind of atmosphere, being in the locker room and seeing what the game's all about, actual inside the NFL, what football truly is. I think that's helped me in my career knowing that I know what it's like and I can fall back on my dad if I have any questions. He's one of those guys I've always relied on for those questions because he's been there, he's done it, he's succeeded at the highest level.

Q: Whats your favorite memory from those days?

A: Hot-tubbing with my dad after games. He'd go in the cold tub and he'd have a little swimsuit so I could go in the hot tub.

Q: Which NFL player would you like to emulate?

A: Jason Witten. He's a complete tight end in my opinion. He blocks. He runs routes. He makes plays for his team. That's what I want to be. I want to go to the NFL and be a complete tight end and make plays with my hands, but also in the run game by making complete blocks.

Q: Why did you leave school after your redshirt sophomore year?

A: I put a lot of thought into staying and leaving. Being only 20 and being a redshirt sophomore, it was a long process for me. It started about mid-season. It kind of crossed my mind that maybe I had an opportunity to leave. I finished the year playing well and after our last game against Wisconsin I really sat down with my parents and we actually made lists. I sat there and my parents and me wrote down pros of staying, pros of leaving, cons of staying, cons of leaving, and sat down there and just weighed each option. Took our time. Didn't want to rush anything or make a decision off emotion. It came down at the end it was the right time for me and my family to declare.

Q: Is it common for you to hurdle defenders in the open field? Or did that surprise you?

A: In the bowl game, when I had the double hurdle, it came to my mind that I saw the guy earlier in the game. He hit me low, one of the (defensive) backs. I figure it was the last game of the year. I figured might as well go for the hurdle and keep going. Second guy came and at that point I knew I wanted to score in my last game, so I went for it again. I was fortunate it worked out for me.
