We’ll focus on team-needs, possible selections, players the Falcons have worked out and/or interviewed, etc. The Falcons own 10 picks in this draft. Today we’ll look at Minnesota DT Ra’Shede Hageman.

Player: Ra'Shede Hageman

Position: Defensive tackle

School: Minnesota

Height and weight: 6-6, 310

Combine numbers:  5.02 seconds in the 40-yard dash; 32 reps on the 225-pound bench press; 35 1/2-inch vertical; 9-6 broad jump, 4.5 in short shuttle and 7.87 in the three-cone drill.

Projected Round: He's the fourth-rated defensive tackle in the draft and is projected to be selected in the first or second round by NFLDraftScout.com.

Career Highlights: Signed with Minnesota as a highly touted tight end. He was converted to the defensive side of the ball and flourished in several spots for the Golden Gophers. He was named first-team All-Big Ten by the coaches and the media last season.

Quotes: "I tell coaches I play all the way from a zero technique all the way to a nine . . . So, I'm very versatile and comfortable playing anything you want me to play. I feel obviously like you've got to be tough to play a zero technique. It's very claustrophobic just playing zero.... I feel like versatility is definitely one of my strengths."

Falcons level on interest: He caught the Falcons attention at the Senior Bowl where he was disruptive in practices and difficult to block in the one-on-one drills. He's explosive for his size. "He has brunt strength and is as strong as all outdoors," Falcons defensive line coach Bryan Cox said.
