A thunderstorm hitting Atlanta caused delays at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Departing flights in Atlanta were affected by a gate hold and delays of 46 minutes to 1 hour, according to the Federal Aviation Administration.

Hartsfield-Jackson also said on Twitter that the FAA had issued a temporary ground stop on all aircraft movement due to severe weather.

The ground stop was lifted before 1 p.m., with normal flight operations resuming, according to Hartsfield-Jackson.
