SunTrust now has ATMs at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, as it replaces Wells Fargo as the official bank of the Atlanta airport.

Atlanta-based SunTrust plans to open a branch in the domestic terminal of the world’s busiest airport in the first quarter of next year.

SunTrust won a contract this year to open a branch and 16 ATMs at Hartsfield-Jackson, replacing Wells Fargo ATMs.

Wells Fargo closed its branch at the Atlanta airport last year, facing declining demand for cash, ATMs and bank branch use.

SunTrust is interested in the increased visibility of an airport location, particularly with the Super Bowl coming to Atlanta in 2019.
