Signs posted at the airport indicated wait times of 30 to 45 minutes or 45 to 60 minutes at security checkpoints in the domestic terminal.

Lengthy waits affected all travelers, including TSA PreCheck and Clear members.

Long airport security lines drew national attention in 2016, prompting airport, airline and security officials to implement fixes that led to shorter waits over the last year.

Yet busy holiday crowds returning from vacations combined with business traveler traffic, along with insufficient capacity by to handle the crowds at Transportation Security Administration is still adding up to long lines.
