Curls, Kinks & Culture Festival brings music, fashion, and beauty to Atlanta

It’s a culture celebration you don’t want to miss.
The Curls, Kinks & Culture Festival is headed to Atlanta next month. The festival is aimed at creating “space for the next generation of rising entrepreneurs, artists, and creators to network, empower our community through business, and have fun.” It’s the fifth year for the festival and it is bringing music, art, community, beauty and fashion to Gateway Center Arena Skylot.
Taliah Waajid, the founder and producer of Curls, Kinks & Culture (CKC) as well as several other brands, started her journey in the beauty business at the age of 14 and has been a roll ever since. Not only does she love being an inspiration to others but also help other Black businesses grow – and that’s exactly what she’s doing with the CKC festival. There will be 100 black businesses and vendors you’ll be able to support but that’s only the start – there will also be music performances and DJs; panels; spoken word performances; street games; food trucks; yoga on the lawn; hair, beauty and barber products; a beard contest; double dutch; a best-dressed contest; drinks; and so much more.
The live music performances are showing major love to Georgia artists, with Jacquees headlining. Joining the R&B sensation on stage will be Kali, Ken the Man, Domani, Atozzio, Michael Star, Coley Gilchrist, and Andrianna. The DJs that’ll keep you moving include DJ Geronimo, DJ P Rock, and DJ Milhouse.
The festival sounds like a good time for all and a true celebration of all the things that make Black culture special. The CKC Festival is happening Saturday, Sept. 24, at College Park’s Gateway Center Arena Skyot. It’s an all-day event, starting at 10 a.m. and wrapping up at 7 p.m. Ready to grab your tickets?
