‘Atlanta’ releases trailer for fourth and final season

It’s a bittersweet time for “Atlanta” fans.
The time has almost come to say goodbye to the Emmy award-winning show “Atlanta.” Creator and star of the show, Donald Glover, gave fans of the show season three a few months ago and has wasted no time releasing the trailer for the upcoming fourth and final season. If you’re not up to date on season three, you may want to come back to this story, as it contains a few spoiler alerts.
Season three ended with the main characters Earn (Donald Glover), Darius (Lakeith Stanfield), Paper Boi (Brian Tyree Henry) and Van (Zazie Beetz) on a wild European trip. Fans took to social media in hopes they wouldn’t have as long of a wait until season four, as they did with season three. If you’re a fan of the show, you know there was a four-year gap between seasons two and three. Yes, four years! But “Atlanta” fanatics are in luck, as we’re just a few months away from the last season.
Since tons of bizarre situations happened at the conclusion of season three, one can only wonder, how will that play out in the upcoming season? Well, I’ve got the answer for you – or at least show director and producer, Hiro Murai does. “Season four, we’re back in Atlanta again and it was kind of a homecoming season, and it was really lovely,” he said. ”We got to say goodbye properly to the city and the show, I think it’ll feel a little nostalgic too because I don’t think you’ve seen Atlanta during the summer since season one. It’s kind of like the greatest hits season.”
Donald Glover also gave us a few hints about “Atlanta’s” fourth season, saying the premise was to “have more fun.” Glover went on to say, “Once you go through that cycle, you realize, oh, we did season four like season one, which was, act like you’re going to get canceled!”
The final season of “Atlanta” will air on FX this September. Check out the trailer below:
