The Gym Like This! (GLT) Competitive Gymnastics Levels 3 and 4 teams began the 2016-17 season at the Penguin Invite Sept. 17-18 in Cooper City.
At Level 3, Jada McDonald of West Palm Beach took third on vault (9.5), first on bars (9.5), third on beam (9.425) and second place for the AA (36.95). Bianca Talbot of Palm Beach Gardens took second on bars (9.325) and tied for second place on beam (9.7). Viveka Brown of Lake Worth took first on vault (9.55), first on beam (9.65), tied for second on floor (9.625) and third place for the AA (36.825). Kyleigh Beckowitz of West Palm Beach took second place on beam (9.375). In team award, GLT took third place out of eleven different teams from the South Florida area.
In Level 4, Kayla Calma of West Palm Beach earned first place for the All Around with a score of 37.200. She also placed first on vault (8.925), and tied for first on beam (9.675). Gabriella Pincus of Palm Beach Gardens tied for third on bars (9.175), second on floor (9.675) and third place for the AA (36.725). Iliana Tater of Riviera Beach took second on bars (9.1), and tied for first on floor (9.7). Maggie Hall of West Palm Beach placed second on bars (9.2). Sophia Roberts of the Acreage placed third on bars (9.025). The team took third place.
