As the government reported another month of modest growth for the U.S. economy, the number of job openings in Atlanta was also growing, according to a report Friday.

Simply Hired said that metro Atlanta had 103,147 open job listings in March. That is out of an economy with about 2.61 million jobs, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, so the openings represent a little less than 4 percent of the total.

The number of openings was a 1.09 percent increase from the month before, said Simply Hired.
