Looking for a job in Atlanta? Openings here, hiring across the country

As the government reported another month of modest growth for the U.S. economy, the number of job openings in Atlanta was also growing, according to a report Friday.

Simply Hired said that metro Atlanta had 103,147 open job listings in March. That is out of an economy with about 2.61 million jobs, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, so the openings represent a little less than 4 percent of the total.

The number of openings was a 1.09 percent increase from the month before, said Simply Hired.

Simply Hired lists the top hiring companies. You will notice one particular sector’s dominance.

The top five hiring are:

  1. Emory Healthcare
  2. WellStar Health System
  3. Northside Hospital
  4. Deloitte
  5. Children's Healthcare of Atlanta

Simply Hired describes itself as is an employment website and mobile application and an online recruitment advertising network. The company is based in California.
