This is terrible news.
LSU offensive coordinator Cam Cameron has been diagnosed with prostate cancer, according to theadvocate.com's Ross Dellenger and Scott Rabalais. The Advocate reports that Cameron has received treatment for the cancer and plans to coach the 2015 season as the Tigers' offensive coordinator.
The 54-year-old is in his third season as LSU’s offensive coordinator, and is looking to lead No. 14 LSU back from a disappointing offensive season in 2014. The news comes a week before the Tigers are set to open their season against McNeese State, followed by back-to-back games against Mississippi State and Auburn.
While the season is just days away, everyone’s thoughts and prayers are with Cameron right now.
