It’s down to Georgia Tech and another for Atlanta football star

Jair Anderson, a 3-star receiver from Northview High School, told the AJC that he’s narrowed down his schools to Georgia Tech and Cincinnati.
“Georgia Tech is on me the hardest,” Anderson said. “We went down there for a visit and talked to a few coaches, and just feel good about it. That’s probably the hardest school recruiting me, and Cincinnati.”
In a recent conversation with the AJC, Anderson said Georgia Tech and Cincinnati are two schools that have disregarded his ranking, while other big programs often indicate that they're waiting on a higher-ranked recruit.
The 6-foot-1, 185-pound receiver is a two-way player at Northview. Anderson said Georgia Tech would like for him to play both receiver and cornerback, which could expedite how quickly he gets on the field.
“They said I was going to have the opportunity to go down there and play,” Anderson said. “It’s a good feel for me. It’s definitely an eye-opener when they say you have the ability to play as a freshman.”
And the same can be said of Cincinnati. Anderson and his father, Willie, a former NFL offensive tackle, visited the campus this past summer and spent time with Cincinnati linebackers coach Jeff Koonz.
Anderson says he’s likely to announce his commitment in the next few weeks, though he acknowledges that he’ll still consider other programs if they offer mid-way through the season.
