Chidi Okeke-Valentine has finally arrived at LSU camp after encountering clearance issues. Okeke-Valentine, a five-star tackle who played last season for Faith Christian Academy in Ludowici, was initially flagged by the NCAA for a low ACT score.

Okeke-Valentine immigrated from Nigeria and initially lived in Miami, playing for Hialeah Champagnat Catholic in 2013. He moved to Georgia and played for Faith Christian for the 2014 season and also reclassified to graduate in 2015. Having never played football before coming to the United States, it was Okeke-Valentine’s raw athleticism and size that earned him the status as one of the top recruits in the country.

The 6-foot-6, 305-pound Okeke-Valentine ultimately chose LSU over others, most notably Georgia, Florida State, Auburn, Alabama. It’s unclear when he’ll see the field, as he’s still a project-type player who could prove to be an impact college player.
