EJ Price, a 4-star offensive tackle prospect out of Lawrenceville, GA, announced via Twitter his top eight schools on Tuesday afternoon.
Fortunately for Georgia fans, the Bulldogs were a part of Price’s eight, which also included: Ole Miss, Michigan, Oklahoma, LSU, Auburn, Tennessee and Florida State.
The 6-6, 311-pound prospect, who is the state’s No. 1-rated tackle prospect, was previously committed to The University of Georgia, but decided to break off his commitment on June 18.
Price spoke with the AJC after his announcement on Tuesday and said that the Bulldogs were still very much in the race.
“A lot of people are thinking that because I decomitted that something happened, but I’ve been very clear that it’s not like that,” Price said. “Georgia has always been one of the top schools for me.”
That is good news for coach Richt and UGA.
