Mykel Jones, a 4-star receiver out of Patterson, La., announced via Twitter his final four schools, a list that includes Alabama, Ole Miss, LSU and Tennessee.
On Friday, Jones spoke to the AJC and offered up his take on each of his finalists.

“Alabama, man, that program is something that I can buy into because I’m used to hard work both on and off the field,” Jones told the AJC.
Jones says he's followed Alabama's development of receivers closely, and acknowledges that they produce "polished" receivers, like former All-America Amari Cooper.
As for Tennessee, Jones says they’ve developed championship aspirations under head coach Butch Jones, and he believes they have a promising future.
“With the new staff there, I think they have a possibility of winning a championship in the next two to three years,” Jones said.
The two remaining schools, LSU and Ole Miss, each offer their own positives. Jones, who is from Louisiana, says LSU’s track record of putting players in the NFL is a selling point. As for Ole Miss, Jones told the AJC that he’s excited about the possibility of playing with 5-star quarterback Shea Patterson, whom he’s played with before.
Still, it’s going to take some time for Jones to arrive to a decision. He’ll likely wait until the end of the season to announce. Jones tells the AJC that he plans on attending several games this year, but is uncertain at the moment which ones.
The 6-foot, 180-pounder ranks as the No. 32 receiver in the country and the No. 181 player overall, and is projected to commit to Alabama (62 percent), per 247Sports Crystal Ball Predictions.
