Georgia Tech target commits to Virginia Tech

Patrick Kearns, a 3-star offensive lineman who had listed Georgia Tech as one of his finalists earlier this month, committed to Virginia Tech on Saturday.

The 6-foot-5, 270-pounder from Rome’s Darlington high school had also considered Kentucky and North Carolina State out of around 20 football scholarship offers.

Kearns wants to become a doctor, and will use his 4-5 years of college to prepare him for medical school.
