UGA fans who were at "Dawg Night" on Saturday got to see a glimpse of the future. Jacob Eason, the nation's top-rated high school quarterback, was set to lead a passing drill when he got the chance to throw a demonstration route to a current UGA player serving as a guest coach at the camp.

That just happened to be Heisman Trophy candidate Nick Chubb. It created an intersection of UGA football's present and future if there ever was one.

“Jacob has got that video on his phone,” his father Tony Eason told the AJC. “He already showed it to me. He said ‘Hey Dad, look at this. I got to throw a pass to Chubb. Isn’t that pretty cool?’ It was pretty neat.”

The five-star prospect is set to enroll at UGA this January. He’ll likely have at least one season on the practice field with Chubb when he arrives. Chubb will just be a true sophomore this season in Athens.
