One of the nation’s top safeties will make his first visit to UGA in more than a year.

Nigel Warrior, a 4-star defensive back from Peachtree Ridge, tweeted that he will visit UGA on Sunday. He's rated as the No. 4 safety in the nation, per the composite rankings.

Warrior told the AJC this past week that it had been so long since he had visited UGA that he couldn't quite remember when it was. "I don't even know. It's crazy because it's an in-state school, and I can't really get over there. I have a lot of stuff on my schedule, so it's hard for me to get anywhere."

The 6-foot, 175-pounder is the son of former Tennessee All-America defensive back and NFL Pro Bowler Dale Carter.

Warrior has been tight-lipped about his leaders, but Tennessee is considered to be a frontrunner due to the family connection. UGA is also a serious contender, according to the 247sports’ Crystal Ball predictions.

Warrior's teammate at Peachtree Ridge, fellow defensive back Chad Clay, is committed to UGA.

Warrior also would like to visit Ohio State and LSU this summer. He will likely announce his college decision on signing day.
