ATHENS — Isaiah McKenzie gave Georgia coach Mark Richt a nice Father's Day shout-out on Instagram on Sunday.
McKenzie, a sophomore wide receiver and preseason All-SEC kick returner, has his own father. But he thanked Richt for being a father figure in his life and the lives of many other Bulldogs players.
McKenzie is known for his dynamic kick-returning skills, which resulted in a record-tying three TD returns last season. But Richt was extremely complimentary of McKenzie’s receiving skills following spring practice. The 5-foot-8, 165-pound flanker was the recipient of the Bulldogs’ Coffee County Hustle Award at the spring awards banquet.
