ATHENS — This just in: Georgia will play in the Rose Bowl for the first time in 82 years in 2025.

The Bulldogs have scheduled a home-and-home series with UCLA that will begin there in Pasadena in 2025. The Bruins will return the trip to Athens in 2026. Both games will be season openers.

Expect to see more announces of major non-conference opponents in the not-too-distant future. At one point, the Bulldogs were scheduled to trade home games with Ohio State and Oregon before conference expansion ultimately killed those deals. And AD Greg McGarity has hinted often about rekindling a matchup with a Big Ten power such as Penn State in the early 2020s.

Here’s my question, how many of you absolutely plan to make Georgia’s first trip to Pasadena along with the Bulldogs? Anybody goes as far as trying to book reservations right away?

Myself? I just hope I’m still around to see it.
