Dedrick Mills, a 3-star from Ware County High School, committed to Tech on Wednesday. The running back had multiple Power-5 conference offers, including Arkansas, South Carolina and Florida State.

“I think he felt like Georgia Tech made him a priority,” Ware County coach Franklin Stephens told the AJC. “Coach Sewak has been adamant about recruiting him. He has been down here to see him, and they talk over the phone. I think Dedrick just felt like he was a priority there.”

Mills, who stands 5-foot-10 and 200 pounds, is commit No. 4 for Tech’s 2016 class.

“I think they are going to get one of those hard-nosed and relentless kids that’s going do a great job for them,” Stephens said. “He’s relentless with the things he does on the football field … He may not be a blazer (with his speed), but he’s what we call a ‘football player.’”
