Todd Grantham, the former UGA defensive coordinator, tweeted out a list of Georgia's top college football prospects on Saturday.

Is it a list of recruits that Grantham – who is now at Louisville – is targeting for the Cardinals? Most likely. There are some of the state’s best on there for the classes of 2016 and 2017.

Was it an accidental tweet by Grantham? Probably, since there are no words attached to the tweet – just the photo of the list of prospects. You know how cell phones work sometimes with pocket dials and accidental tweets.

Is it an NCAA violation for college coaches to tweet out the names of prospective student-athletes? Probably. But if so, in this situation, it would probably be nothing more than an NCAA secondary violation or “slap on the wrist.”

Grantham could also try to say he was just publicly confirming which prospects are being recruited by Louisville. Colleges are permitted to publicly confirm whether or not they are recruiting a specific prospect; they just can’t say anything else after that until the prospect signs a national letter of intent or financial-aid agreement.
