The high school coach of Alabama running back Tyren Jones didn't really have anything to say about his "indefinite suspension" from the Crimson Tide's football team last week.
“No comment on that,” Jones’ coach, Rocky Hildago, told the AJC. “I haven’t talked to him yet, but I’m sure I will at some point. It is what it is.”

Jones played for Hildago at Walton High School, and was rated as one of the top running backs out of Georgia in 2013.
Last week, Alabama announced that Jones was suspended indefinitely from the team, with coach Nick Saban saying in a statement that it was "conduct not to the standard of Alabama's football team." There was no further explanation or details on the suspension.
Jones was Alabama’s fourth-leading rusher last season. He was also suspended for a week last October for undisclosed disciplinary reasons as well, per al.com.
In 2013, Jones signed with Alabama over UGA, among others. He was part of Alabama's celebrated class of running backs which also included Alvin Kamara (transferred to a junior college, signed with Tennessee), Altee Tenpenny (has announced plans to transfer, per a report, and is no longer participating in team activities) and Derrick Henry.
When Jones signed with Alabama in 2013, he was part of the same Crimson Tide recruiting class as his Walton teammate, quarterback Parker McLeod.
After one season at Alabama, McLeod was given permission by Saban to seek a transfer opportunity, the coach told reporters at the SEC meetings in May 2014. McLeod ended up transferring to Western Kentucky.
One final note: If you’ve been listening to sports talk radio, Saban’s policies on player conduct/suspensions have been a hot topic of conversation after the news on Jones. Without more details available on Jones, some have said the policies can be confusing. On signing day, Saban defended his decision to sign Jonathan Taylor, who still faces legal issues for alleged past conduct. Taylor was dismissed from UGA’s football team last summer after being arrested on a charge of aggravated assault/family violence, with a police report alleging Taylor used his hands to choke and hit his girlfriend.
