One of UGA's biggest surprises on signing day was Deontai Williams.

The 3-star safety had been committed to UGA since last summer, but he was announced as an Ohio University signee on Wednesday.

There was speculation that the flip was due to grade concerns. Deontai’s coach did not returns several messages.

Williams originally committed to the Florida Gators more than a year ago, but flipped to UGA in July due to his relationship with Bulldogs defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt.

Williams is the ninth recruit from UGA’s 2015 class to de-commit, although the other eight all picked FBS schools. The Bulldogs have also flipped five from rival schools.
