The weekend may be winding down, but favorable weather will continue in metro Atlanta into the week.

Winds gusting up to 20 mph Sunday should keep things feeling warm, according to Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brian Monahan.

“Nice dry air for Sunday afternoon,” he said.

The temp was at 79, the forecast high, about 4:30 p.m.

That high is slightly above the average for the date. Saturday’s high was 78.

That should keep things nice for people heading to the last day of the Shaky Knees Music Festival or the final game of the weekend series between the Atlanta Braves and the San Francisco Giants at SunTrust Park.

Festival gates opened at 11:30 a.m. and activities continue until 10 p.m., so expect more traffic congestion in the Old Fourth Ward area.

First pitch for the Giants-Braves game is 1:35 p.m. Despite losing the first two games to the Giants, the Braves are still in first place in the NL East. That means the parking crunch should continue, so people planning to attend should consider prepaying for parking or taking a rideshare to the game.

Drivers preparing for Monday’s morning and afternoon commutes should note that there’s a 30 percent chance of rain.
