Atlanta, get ready for the 90s this weekend.

“Astronomically summer is over, but boy does it feel like it,” Channel 2 Action News meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

Temperatures are forecast to reach 87 degrees Friday.

And Atlanta, which recorded its 85th day of temperatures in the 90s on Wednesday, has not seen its last 90-degree day, meteorologists said. Temperatures could hit that mark this weekend.

Highs are expected to reach 90 degrees Saturday, 88 degrees Sunday and 84 degrees Monday.

The next chance of rain is a slight 20 percent chance Sunday.

Temperatures were 85 in Atlanta, 72 in Blairsville and 72 in Griffin just before 10 p.m.
