Despite a cold front that passed through metro Atlanta temperatures were still in the 90s earlier Wednesday, Channel 2 Action News reported.

Meteorologist Brad Nitz said drier air will settle in overnite and temps in the morning Thursday will be in the 70s.

Humidity is expected to drop along with temperatures in the next few days, Nitz said.

Thursday and Friday highs in the upper 80s will cool to mid 80s over the weekend. Monday’s high is 81 degrees, according to Channel 2.

Rain projections have steadily decreased in the past 24 hours and are at 20 percent through Wednesday night.
