Forecasters predict little hope of drying out through the weekend.
“As we head through Tuesday, more (rain) is on the way,” Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Karen Minton said. “It’s more likely as we go into the afternoon.”
Temperature highs will hover in the low 80s through the week with a spike to the upper 80s expected for Thursday, Minton said.
The National Weather Service has issued a flood watch through Monday evening for much of the metro Atlanta area.
The chance for rain will remain between 30 and 40 percent through Saturday, Minton said.
