Expect a rainy commute heading into Tuesday morning.

Expect low clouds, fog, mist and drizzle throughout the evening, according to Channel 2

Meteorologist Brad Nitz has your Tuesday night forecast.

Rain stayed light, but tapered off late Tuesday. But it likely won’t be the last precipitation North Georgia sees this week.

A 40 percent chance could bring a wintry mix or freezing drizzle to the northeast Georgia mountains Saturday, meteorologists said.

Rain is more likely than snow in metro Atlanta.

Temperatures started mild this week but will drop below freezing Friday, Nitz said.

Temps were 53 degrees in Atlanta, 48 in Blairsville and 56 in Griffin at 10:10 p.m.
