Rain has stayed clear of metro Atlanta, and there’s little relief in sight, according to Channel 2 Action News.

“As we look at our forecast through (Thursday) and into (Friday), it stays dry,” Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said. “But as we get into Saturday, the hope is that some little patchy light rain or some sprinkles could pop in here.”

There’s a 20 percent chance of rain Saturday.

The north side of Atlanta, Rome and Calhoun could see wet weather. Areas south of I-20 should stay dry, according to Channel 2.

“That’s about the best we can stir up here in the next few days,” Minton said.

Temperatures were 69 degrees in Atlanta, 57 in Blairsville and 58 in Griffin just after 10:15 p.m. Thursday.

Highs in the 80s will return Friday, but they will drop to the 70s this weekend.
