It won’t get quite as warm Tuesday as it’s expected to get Monday.

But you still may be able to get away without a jacket during the afternoon.

A cold front will come through Tuesday, but it will only send highs down to the mid-70s, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Temperatures will stay in the 70s through Thursday.

“And your five-day forecast shows the best chance for rain is going to be on Thursday,” when there’s a 30 percent chance of precipitation, Channel 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said. “It’s not much.”

Temps were 66 degrees in Atlanta, 50 in Blairsville and 54 in Griffin just after 10 p.m. Monday.

Temperatures reached a high of 80 degrees by 4 p.m. Then, the next time temps hit the 80s will likely be Friday, Minton said.

She added, metro Atlanta can expect a pleasant weekend ahead.

“It’s warm on Saturday, and sunny skies,” Minton said. “So make the most of it, and get out there and have some fun. Get things done.”
