Fall may begin Thursday, but temperatures are only expected to rise through the weekend, according to Channel 2 Action News.
Expect a mostly clear sky Thursday morning, with highs in the 80s and partly cloudy conditions in the afternoon.
“The rain chances however are going to stay just to the east,” Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.
Highs are expected to reach 84 degrees Thursday, the upper 80s Friday and the lower 90s this weekend.
Temperatures were 90 degrees in Atlanta, 86 in Blairsville and 89 in Griffin just before 5 p.m. Wednesday.
