Georgia and Georgia Tech football fans should enjoy some typical September weather at their home games Saturday, according to Channel 2 Action News.
The temperature should be in the low 90s for the Bulldogs’ game in Athens against Nicholls State (noon kickoff).
“Be sure to pack some sunscreen if you’re heading to Athens,” meteorologist Katie Walls said.
Also, temps in the low 90s should be in effect for the Yellow Jackets’ 3 p.m. game against Mercer at Bobby Dodd Stadium (3 p.m. kickoff).
A weak front moving into North Georgia will bring the chance of some isolated thunderstorms, according to the National Weather Service. The storms will mainly be on a line from Rome to Blairsville after midnight. There will be some occasional lightning and gusty winds.
About 12:30 p.m., the temperature was 87 in Atlanta, 90 in Griffin, and 82 in Blairsville.
