Plan for an incredible weekend, even with fewer travel lanes on some local highways.

“The weekend will be awesome if you like sunshine and warmer weather,” Severe Weather Team 2 meteorologist Karen Minton said.

That also applies if you enjoy rocking out to a guitar god, mingling among plant giants or partying with Ewoks and Stormtroopers.

80-degree weather

The mercury will climb to the lower 80s by the end of the weekend, Minton said.

“Our numbers will continue to be quite nice,” she said. “We’ll clear out as we move through the day for sunshine in the morning.”

So, get prepared for time outdoors.

“We’re really, pretty much spot on for tomorrow with temperatures that look really nice,” Minton said. “Even warmer weather coming for us on Sunday when we break through into the 80s, sunny skies continue on into … the middle of next week.”
