Gusty breezes Friday will carry over into the weekend before temperatures warm into the 60s, according to Channel 2 Action News.

Temperatures that climbed into the 50s Friday will start to drop overnight down into the 30s, Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.

“So a cold start to the weekend, but with sunshine, a nice warm up,” Nitz said. “We’re going to look at temperatures up into the 60s as the winds come back around to the south.”

Temperatures will continue an upward climb through next Tuesday; when the high is expected to reach 70 degrees, and there’s a 60 percent chance of showers, Nitz said.

Temperatures were 53 degrees in Atlanta, 47 degrees in Blairsville and 55 degrees in Griffin just before 1:45 p.m.

Saturday’s high is expected to be 62 degrees, and the low is at 37 degrees.
