Morning downpours became spotty showers later in the day Friday. And that rain, possible a rain-snow mix, may make an appearance Sunday, according to Channel 2 Action News.
There’s a 20 percent chance of precipitation Sunday morning, Channel 2 reported.
Temperatures were 44 degrees in Atlanta, 43 in Blairsville and 43 in Griffin just after 1:30 p.m. Friday. They should get up to the 50s Friday in Atlanta, rain tapering off.
Saturday’s high will reach 55 degrees before temperatures cool off Sunday and dip into the upper 30s. They’ll drop to the 20s by Monday morning.
Meteorologist Brad Nitz said expect partly cloudy and dry conditions Saturday and thicker clouds and colder weather Sunday.
Nitz predicted, isolated flurries — most likely in the mountains of Tennessee and North Carolina — could sprinkle down to north Georgia mountains early Sunday and maybe even metro Atlanta.
“It wouldn’t surprise me to see a flake or two in metro Atlanta,” Nitz said, “should have no impacts however.”
