Expect rain and temperatures in the 50s through 9 p.m. Tuesday, Channel 2 Action News chief meteorologist Glenn Burns said.
Temperatures were 56 degrees in Atlanta, 54 in Blairsville and 61 in Griffin just before 1:45 p.m.
Those temps will drop a bit Wednesday to the 40s before warming again and eventually moving into the 60s Saturday, Channel 2 meteorologist Brad Nitz said.
“We’ll keep a few showers overnight, and then that starts to taper off early tomorrow morning,” Nitz said.
Burns said chance of rain Wednesday morning is about 30 percent.
Some areas could get up to a half inch of rain and others might top that, meteorologists said.
With morning showers, expect a gusty northwest wind, partly cloudy skies and a high of only 48 degrees Wednesday, Nitz said.
