The metro area can expect patchy frost Saturday night and temperatures in the 30s at one point Sunday, Channel 2 Action News meteorologists said.
The cold will reach far and wide.
The high for Saturday will be 59 degrees; the low will be around 41 degrees. Expect Sunday’s high to reach 62 degrees with a low coming in at 37 degrees.
Rabun County will be under a freeze warning Friday night through Saturday morning. A freeze watch for Habersham County will take effect at midnight and last until 10 a.m. Saturday. A freeze watch will last from 2 a.m. to 9 a.m. Sunday for mountain counties.
The good news is that chilly temperatures tend to drive pollen out of the area.
The pollen count, which dropped earlier this week, crept up to 553 Friday, which was lower than both the current season high of 4,107 and last year's season high of 6,152.

Temps were 60 degrees in Atlanta, 49 degrees in Blairsville and 60 degrees in Griffin on Friday afternoon. They will stay in the lower 60s, which is below average.
Gusty winds will stick around and could reach 30 mph, making temperatures feel much cooler, which is nothing new for Georgia this week.
Gusty winds have caused their fair share of damage. Crews in Hall County were still clearing tree limbs and trees Friday that powerful storms knocked down earlier this week in Oakwood.
The Hall County Emergency Management Agency told Channel 2 more than 50 homes were damaged, five of which were mostly destroyed.
