Whether you joined LinkedIn to network in the business world or look for a new job, it features some functions that you might not know about but should. Here are a few.
1. To anonymously check profiles, go to your home page, click the down arrow next to “Me” on the toolbar, and select Settings & Privacy. Click “Privacy” at the top center of the page and select “Profile viewing options”; to browse anonymously, select “Private mode” (in this mode, you won’t be able to see who has looked at your profile, either).
2. To remove a connection, go to that person’s LinkedIn page, click on the ellipsis (three dots) to the right of their picture and select “Unfollow” from the drop menu; to block a person from seeing your profile, select Report/block from the same drop menu.
3. You can manage and reorder your first 12 endorsements to promote the skills you deem most important. On your profile page, go to “Featured Skills & Endorsements” and click on the pencil. Under Reorder on the right, click and grab the skill you wish to move and reposition it. When you are done, click Save.
