There’s a new text messaging application on the Android market that’s sure to appeal to Persona 5 fans. It’s called the Persona 5 IM app; it replaces the Android user’s stock messaging app with a similarly-functioning Persona 5-themed app, complete with bright colors, jagged lines, and slick animations. Even better, would-be Phantom Thieves can find it available to download for free over on the Google Play Store.

Since it isn’t a full-fledged SMS or MMS application, there are a few caveats: aside from a few options like time display and differently-colored themes, there are really no options for users to make the app feel like their own. There’s also no option to send or even display MMS messages, so users who like to send pictures will have to occasionally switch back over to their stock messaging app, else they may miss out on any MMS messages sent.

Still, this is an application that’s pure style over substance, and that’s just fine. It looks good, the animations are nifty, and it’s sure to appeal to the countless players who have already spent dozens or even hundreds of hours playing Persona 5.
